Will your remote team building games make me cringe?
Awkward video conferences make you want to jam your finger in your laptop’s USB port and simultaneously short out and peace out. At Wise Guys Events, we know how to get your remotely working group together on a virtual team building program that won’t make you long to short.
Here’s what sets us apart: the 6 F’s of Wise Guys Events.

Firstly, Fun
We build our games and engaging play programs the same way we plan our events: by asking questions like, What will be fun? What are new things to play, and new ways to play old things, with fun at the forefront? What’s the most unnecessary place to put the word “pickle” in this blog post? Playing apart isn’t as natural as playing together, but with the right support, it can be just as fun. Our team has the know-how to smooth the rough edges and laugh together, even if it’s at the technology failing us. Getting groups playing together is the whole raison d’etre of our background. Many of us now have new, virtual backgrounds, and we give out prizes for the coolest ones on our online games: for real!

Fit
To be clear, we are NOT talking specifically about physical fitness on the part of the Wise Guys Events team (the co-founder who writes blog posts aspires to dadbod and will settle for not suffering a panting collapse mid-fridge crawl). Rather, we are experts at fitting the right game to the right group. Do you want to get bare-knuckle competitive with our most challenging room escape puzzle suite and have bragging rights for mental mastery? Or maybe you want a pick-me-up game that’s as chill as a happy hour but with someone in charge who can bring the right kind of energy and make the group’s time together feel well spent, instead of just all feeling spent. We can make the program the right fit for you.

Fit (the other kind)
Okay so, on second thought, yeah actually maybe dipping a toe into the world of NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). We will get you up and out of your seat, moving about your space, and getting some micro-boogy dance party right from your Zooming place. We call it embodied play, somatic play, physicalized play, “big games”… there’s a lot of names, none of them stick, but it’s a kind of play that’s always been there, in the body, and we tap into that too. Gross motor skills, but not in a gross way. Some of what you’ll do is regular pencil-and-paper parlor/party games, so you won’t break a sweat. That is, unless you want to play at your treadmill desk. It has happened: it’s fun when it does!

Formidable
We’ve been running games for groups since 2006. And even though we’ve only been running games for groups on Zoom since you-know-exactly-when, we’re having fun doing it. All our expertise as event designers and our chops as game makers extraordinaire make our programs a cut above the rest. Pickle.

Fucking professional
R-rated movies are allowed one solitary F bomb, so that should mean we also get one – and only one. With that out of the way, our programs are suitable for the workplace, which it turns out can oftentimes be the home as well. Our wisecracks uplift, and don’t punch down. Private events are available, and those can be whatever rating you want, but we’re staying clothed and that includes you.
So there you have it, the 6 F’s of Wise Guys Events. If you’re still reading, you might as well sign up for our newsletter where you’ll get more of whatever this is, plus first crack at online events for the public, info about new services we’re offering, and dispatches from the world of games, puzzles, and fun at the workplace. What I’m trying to say is, it sounds like you should get Words to the Wise.
